Les Indes Galantes

The annual youth opera from Muziektheater Transparant is internationally "the place to be" for young musicians who want to taste the creation of an opera production under professional supervision. A short but intensive rehearsal period introduces singers and instrumentalists into the world of baroque music and music theater, and prepares them for a series of performances. They are closely involved in the staging, receive intensive training in baroque music and gain stage experience in a professional context. The French ballet opera "Les Indes Galantes" by Jean-Philippe Rameau is the backdrop for the 2018 edition. This year's unique TRANSLAB project is directed by director Luigi de Angelis and harpsichord / conductor Korneel Bernolet. They take singers and instrumentalists in tow in the creation of a performance that smells of entertaining exoticism, wrapped in 18th-century philosophy.
