Silence, Please!

With "Silence, Please!" we bring a fascinating insight into our habits. Why we seek silence today or not. Why do we ask for a minute of silence in the event of loss? It's about the behavior of all of us, but above all of the four guests on stage, who in their own way have an intriguing but toyally different bond with silence.

TV personality Cath Luyten tells about her search for silence, about trial and error. About small rituals. Mathematician and philosopher Jean-Paul Van Bedengem dares to question our habits. Is there a necessity? To quote him: "Silence please, I hear nothing!" Humor is never far away... Composer-musician Jan Swerts plays live music and shows how silence in itself also turns out to be a powerful instrument. He also testifies about the fight against all the noise that surrounds us. Jan climbs the barricades!

Each performance we bring another well-known guest already told us that silence is like Brussels sprouts. You thinks it's dirty but once you taste it, it's actually very tasty...

In 'Silence, Please!' elements from the very first large-scale study on silence perception in Flanders are processed. Do you want to study the full resaerch report? No problem! You can request the detailed report for free at info@tamaratrust.be.
