In the new HETGEVOLG performance GREY GARDENS, Chris Lomme and Marit Stocker play together with 10 Heartplayers from different residential care centers.
Grey Gardens is based on the documentary "Grey Gardens" in which a mother and daughter have become increasingly isolated and lonely over the years. The daughter also appears to be scarred by the trauma of a crippled showbusiness career - thwarted by the mother.
They design their own clothes, muse about unrequited loves and taunt each other about the past and now. Or they say nothing... and write beautiful poems.
There were plenty of stories, just for the taking.
And also goosebumps, of course, what did you expect?
All those years of life, all this wisdom, all that compassion for ones fellow man.
They can only result in a heartwarming performance...
