Melissa, no Aisha, or no still Melissa

We all know that these are extraordinary times. The pro and anti vax movement, Woke, deep fake, natural disasters ...

We are drowning in a tsunami of information, in which nothing is what it seems: the earth is flat, Sam Smith and Adele are the same person, Prince Charles is an alien, there are chemicals in our tap water that make us light up at night.

Politicians and presidents, meanwhile, spread fake news to win the public vote.

But what is still true?

Who determines the truth?

What is the truth?

How can we know for sure?

Is your truth the same as my truth?

In Melissa, no Aisha, or no still Melissa, The Mannschaft investigates the truth amidst the fake news and alternative facts, while on stage they are rock hard pretending.

A performance about the creation of the lie. About not wanting to see the truth. About Donald Trump and Marco Borsato. About A.I. and Deep Fakes. About the mechanisms to make the right choices in the jungle of info or choose to believe in the lie.

After the successful productions Liv, Dethleff and John & Jane, De Mannschaft is making a new production for young people. Again with the same concept: a nice strong theme with plenty of humor and a language that is perfect for young people.

I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God!

The truth is what you believe.
